After centuries of war, the Avian and Serpent races agree to a tentative peace and joint training of cadets. Instructor Sahwahyun, an admired Avian war hero, maintains a strict composure that keeps all students at bay—except Yahyul, an unassuming Serpent cadet harboring hidden depths beneath his stoic shell.
